This website has selected co-ops from the larger Biology & Biotechnology Co-op Opportunities on the Web website that meet any of the following criteria - 1. located in a veterinary or agricultural setting, 2. located in a veterinary school, 3. may be of particular interest to pre-vet students.

In addition to the valuable experience and good pay that a Co-op or Internship will give you, very many of the Opportunities listed on this website also provide Travel Reimbursement, Housing and Meals. So, don't let concerns about living expenses or the location of an organization posted on this website prevent you from checking out an exciting and challenging Co-op or Internship position!! If travel support, housing and meals are provided, this information will almost always be included in the details about the Co-op or Internship that can be found by clicking on the co-op website next to the organization's name and location.

Acquarium of Niagara, Niagara Falls, NY - co-op (2008) very few details provided - not sure if these are paid positions
Alaska SeaLife Center, Seward, AK - co-op (2008) NO stipend - "internship program provides complimentary housing and/or a food stipend during the internship for a certain number of applicants"

Audubon Center of the North Woods, Sandstone, MN - co-op (2009) some positions are for six months
Avila University, Kansas City, MO - co-op (2008) Natural History of the Herpetofauna of Dominica - The program begins at Avila University in Kansas City, Missouri on 26 May 2008 and terminates on 1 August 2008. The three-week field trip to Dominica will be in June 2008

Accommodations are rustic dormitory living with no running water, electricity, or telephone." Internship is at the Vince Shute Wildlife Sanctuary in the North Woods of Minnesota
