Riding an Elevator

You step into an elevator. It is at rest for 1 sec, then it starts to move upwards, accelerating to a constant speed in the next 1 sec. It moves at the constant speed for 1 sec, then slows uniformly to a stop in 1 sec. It stays at rest for 1 sec, then begins to move downwards reaching a constant speed in 1 sec. It moves down at this constant speed for 1 sec, then slows to a stop in the next sec.
Choose up as the positive direction.
(a) Make a graph of velocity as a function of time.

(b) Make a graph of acceleration as a function of time.

(c) Draw a free body diagram for the elevator (it has a mass m).

(d) Make a graph of cable tension as a function of time.
