Chapters 12, 13 (what equilibrium is and section 13-5), 16, and 17 (sections 1-11). You should know all of the rotational stuff, but the emphasis will be on angular momentum (see the class problems on this). We talked briefly about stress and strain as a way to remember Hooke's Law and introduce simple harmonic motion. There will be a significant part of the test dealing with SHM. Finally, we have been working on waves on a string from Ch. 17 this week. Be certain you understand WebAssign PS 5 # 1-5 -- all the ones from ch. 17.
From WebAssign: you should review PS 2 (#6, 7, 8 on angular momentum), PS3, PS4, PS 5 # 1-5, and pre-class assignments, A2.1-A5.1.
