I know some of you have an exam that will be in progress at 11 am; please come when you can. You will get the same 2 hours that others have, but I have another exam that begins at 2:45 pm, so I am trying to get a break between the 2 tests.

My schedule: MONDAY -- I won't be in till about 11:30 am
I should be in from about 10 am - about 6 pm every day, but I have a definite meeting on Tues at 1 pm (at least an hour?), and a tentative meeting Monday at 1 pm.

If you have questions about the assignments or class material, please come see me. If I am in my office, I am usually available to asnwer questions. Do check with me first to be cetain I will be there if you need help. There is also a College of Science Study Center [Bates Study Center] at the front of the building on the first floor [08-1200]. A schedule of hours for ACS tutors is posted outside the room and linked in the "table" at the top of the page. Not all of the material we cover in this claass is familiar to the student tutors, so do plan to come see me if/when that happens.

If you have any special needs, you should inform me during the first week of classes. Please contact me after class or at my office.

Problems will be assigned every week [Problem Set Requirements]. Solutions to the problem sets will be available after the due date. Do work with others on the problem sets, but turn in your own work. If possible, come ask questions about material you don't understand before you turn in the problem set. Quizzes will be approximately weekly (usually on Friday), and I will try to remember to announce them.

You are required to have received credit for 1017-213, College Physics III, and for 1016-206 Discrete Mathematics for Technologists II [is this still the right math course?] in order to take this course.
