Required Book
Fundamentals of Photonics This book may be downloaded for free at the link to the left or ordered as a hard copy or on CD-ROM. We will use at least Modules 1-1, 1-3, and 1-4 to begin with. I am still planning the details of the rest of the quarter. You should feel free to download all 10 modules, but I doubt that we will use much if any of 1-6 or 1-10. I have made a Table of Contents (pdf) [11/28/2011] for these modules which you may find helpful. Feel free to download and use it. Do let me know if you find any mistakes or if you have suggestions to improve it. As I update it throughout the quarter, I will put updated versions in the link and change the dates.
If you still have your College Physics [SPSP-211, 212, 213] textbook, you might find it helpful for reference in some of the topics we will study.
