In this project a digital streak/slit scan camera will be created to capture high speed events. This will serve as a starting point to enable students, teachers, and hobbyists to create there own digital camera. The one dimensional linear sensor will be able to be removed and substituted for a two dimensional image sensor array.

The project will begin with the selection of a digital linear CCD sensor. Then the timing, analog to digital conversion, and interface circuits will be designed and fabricated. This system will be created on an electronic prototype board and tested to ensure that the communication and image capturing of the sensor are functioning properly.
