Commencement Bay: This image was taken from my boat, Near Tacoma, about 9 miles from our home. This is the boaters playground. You are looking toward the Port of Tacoma's Foss and Hylebos waterways, which are basically old rivers the fed the bay and the busiest area for shipping traffic.
