April 17th, 2008 SAVE THOSE PHOTOS!
Jamie Allen, Curatorial Associate, Department of Photographs, George Eastman House
Jamie will speak on saving and keeping photos. As a Curatorial Associate at GEH, she works on preserving the photographic collection for future use. She has a degree in Photographic Preservation and Collections Management and has interned at the Getty Research Institute and University of Arizona Museum of Art. Bring a few old photos, slides or negatives to get her suggestions on stabilizing them.

RIT Professor to Lead Group
Andrew Davidhazy, a professor in the imaging and photographic technology department at Rochester Institute of Technology, has been named director-at-large of the Photo Imaging Education Association.

The association is for educators who teach photography. It hosts conferences and an annual International Student-Teacher Photo Exhibition and Competition.

(TPHS Note: Andy has been an active member of TPHS for many years and maintains our website)
