As mentioned on the home page, one of my favorite pasttimes is designing web sites. I’ve been designing web sites for about five years. I first became interested in web sites after playing Roller Coaster Tycoon for PC. I really loved the game so my uncle suggested I make a web site about said game. He showed me how to make a site anmd pretty soon I had one up and running.

About a year later I became very interested in graphic design. I spent a lot of time with that activity and at some point decided I should make a web site featuring my designs. So, I picked up some books and started learning XHTML. My web design abilities grew and soon I learned how to use CSS with web sites. It was not long before I started to enjoy web design more than graphic design. I spent a lot of time designing web sites and it was not long before I got my own domain name, icorey.com, which I still update today.

Within the past year to two years I took it upon myself to learn PHP. I did so because I wanted to make my own blog. After learning Java in high school, PHP was very easy. Soon I had my own very complex blog. Now I’m trying to learn how to use AJAX to make my web sites even better.

More About Myself

I enjoy playing on my computer, playing video games, photography, Making Web Sites!, watching the Buffalo Sabres win, and participating in various sports including hockey and baseball. I played ice hockey as a goalie for about ten years and I’ve been playing the roller version of the sport for around four years. I also played baseball for about eight years.
