Hi, my name is Daniel Joseph and I am a software consultant. My skills, work experience, education, and research interests are detailed in my Curriculum Vitae. Consulting Prospects may wish to view my Résumé or read a narrative summary of my Professional Background.
I consult in areas where success requires broad and extensive knowledge of integrated business processes and information technology and a wide array of applied computer technology skills. Recent engagements have included work in SAP ECC variant configuration, expert witness testimony, and technical advisement in a legal case involving the implementation of a fully-integrated SAP ECC system. However, my work is not restricted to SAP products and much of it has focused on the development, configuration, implementation, and use of computer-based systems designed to help managers plan and direct business and organizational operations.
My background includes work as a full-time software consultant, programmer, systems analyst, systems development team leader, fiscal analyst, and business computing professor. My formal education includes an undergraduate degree in Commerce, a Master's Degree in Economics, another Masters in Business Administration, a Doctorate in Management Information Systems (Business Information Technology), 63 days of training from SAP America, and attendance at professional meetings and technical seminars, some of which were presented by leaders in the field of software development and business practice. In addition, some of my knowledge has come from experience as a tenured Associate Professor of Business Information Systems in the E. Philip Saunders College of Business at the Rochester Institute of Technology teaching courses in SAP R/3 and ECC configuration; several programming languages; Database Management Systems; Data Structures; Software Project Management & Practice; Systems Analysis & Design; Networking Technologies; Computer Hardware and Operating System Architectures; Expert and Decision Support Systems; IT Management; Strategic Business Management; Money & Banking; and Macro and Microeconomics.
I implemented and helped maintain the Business Information Technology Program, formerly the Management Information Systems Program, at the Rochester Institute of Technology in the Saunders College of Business for 23 years. It involved 13 courses in Business Administration,11 technical computer systems-related courses and was one of the most successful business computing programs in the United States.
