Hi All

It's almost that time, RIT 2001 grads are getting ready to move on... And professors, let me just tell you, all the time, support and experience you have given is greatly appreciated! As for my current status, I am working at Whitehead Institute, I am considered a Tech Assistant within The Center for Genome Research. WI has been very impressive so far and the innovative labs are outstanding! The core I am involved with is the Genotyping Lab where we are identify common polymorphisms in humans, genotype them and associate these variations with disease. The BIG project I am tackling is The SNP Consortium.

Since I started here, last August, I have worked with ABI gel sequencers, 3700 Capillary sequencers, and now MALDI-TOF mass spec, what we are currently using to multiplex genotype. It has been a real exciting time to be involved with WI, and WI Center for Genome Research is expanding.

If anyone is interested in this field of research in Boston, Please fill free to e-me. I'll be glad to try and help.

Cheers,

Jamie Moore
