Welcome to the homepage for this course. I hope that you will find this page, and the links included in it, to be useful as you explore the many exciting opportunities Co-op has to offer.

This homepage is essentially the class schedule, with links to some of the topics covered during each class. You can click on any of these links as you prepare for an upcoming class, or if you want to use the information at the links to search for a co-op, prepare your resume, etc.

This course will be graded based on:

1. attendance at each scheduled class session
2. selection by December 13 of at least one Co-op Opportunity that meets your criteria
and for which you are eligible
3. preparation of an acceptable resume
4.
preparation of an acceptable cover letter
or application essay
5
. completion by February 21 of an entire application process for a Co-op position that meets your criteria and for which you are eligible (see 2. above)

Co-op basics

What are some criteria for selecting a Co-op?

The Co-op Search/Application Process - must be completed by end of the quarter

Co-op opportunities on the Web

Biology & Biotechnology Co-op Opportunities (a comprehensive list)

Select one Co-op that meets your criteria and for which you are eligible by December 13

Resumes - First draft of Resume due on December 13- two options for submission

1. Turn in a printed copy of your Resume

Week #2 (December 13)


First draft of cover letter or application e
ssay due on December 20 - two options for submission

1. Turn in a printed copy of your Cover Letter
2. Send your Cover Letter as an email attachment to Tom Frederick (gtfsbi@rit.edu)

Submit the pertinent information for one Co-op that meets your criteria and for which you are eligible - simply printing all of the information provided on the web for that Co-op position, then highlighting the requirements, is probably the easiest way to satisfy this requirement
