There are several ways to qualify for entry to the Certificate Option:
¥ Hold a bachelors degree in the life sciences. Other closely related degrees may be approved by the Program Director. Additional pre-requisite coursework may be required for any type and level of degree.
OR
¥ Hold a current, active license or registry in an area of Allied Health. Examples of Allied Health areas are respiratory Therapy, Nuclear Medicine, Physical Therapy, Radiography, or Nursing. Any of the some 200 areas in the Allied Health field will be considered. A copy of your registry or license must be submitted as part of your admission application.
In addition to meeting the qualifications above, there are four pre-requisite courses that must be completed before entry into the Certificate Option. You may not need to take all the pre-requisite courses. Please contact the Program director for details. If you are currently enrolled in a two-year Allied Health program, you may want to consider completing your RIT Ultrasound Certificate pre-requisite courses while you are still in the second year of your current program.
