A Man, A Mandolin, A Mission- 01/13/09
I finally received the mandolin I ordered! After a couple days of playing with my roommate after work, we played at open mic night. My roommate rocks open mic night weekly or biweekly, so that's awesome.

As for me...I've had a fear of singing in public ever since Kindergarten because my sadistic music teacher, Mrs. Whitehead, recorded us squeakily singing our entire names (You try screeching out an eight syllable name with your puney prepubescent voice!) on a super high note. Abysmal!

So being that this was my first time on stage...I thought it was decent. We had some technical difficulties with the drum loop, and we couldn't hear ourselves/each other on the monitor too well...but oh well...no one threw beer bottles, so I'll call this one a success! Here's a clip.
