December 31, 2009

The maintenance & upgrades on the Upton branch has been completed. Today the railroad made its first run to West Upton in almost six years with 1750 leading the way.

November 15, 2009

New track has been installed in West Upton, the caboose is in the process of being repainted to match the newly painted engines, and unit 1750 has been seen switching cars (YouTube Video)

October 4, 2009

The GP9 is painted black with yellow stripes. The CF7 is now undergoing similar sanding and repainting. Extensive work has been done through Milford and Hopedale to clear the tracks of brush, trees and other encroachments.

The GP9 (former Bay Colony 1702) is sanded down to reveal its original Pennsylvania Logo and numbers before being repainted in new Grafton & Upton Colors.
Tie replacement and other track maintenance is still in progress through Grafton.

August 14, 2009

Brush & tree removal begins again in Milford and Hopedale continuing from Route 140 to the Hopedale Yard.

Ballast regulation and ditch work reaches the N.Grafton yard. Ties still need to be replaced through Grafton. In Upton, the yard's switches and track are replaced with fresh ties. Pictures Pictures
