Running the simulation
First, the experiment must be set up.
Once the experiment setting are correct, click the Load Experiment button.
When the experiment is done loading, the Start button becomes enabled.
Use the Start, Stop and Pause buttons to control the simulation.
A few things to note while running a simulation:
- The concentration of the salt entering and leaving the column is displayed
in gray text to the right of the column.
- The proteins being used are listed below the detector in the same color that
is used to draw them in the column. If two or more proteins are mixed, they
are drawn in gray in the column.
- You may change the values in the controls at any time, but new settings
will not be used until the Load Experiment button is clicked. You may
restore the settings that are currently being used by the simulation by clicking
the Reset Settings button.
