The Del-sign Production Technique

One of the best-known and most powerful of all O'Neill's plays, this special production of The Emperor Jones is beautifully presented in the Del-sign technique where sign language actors represent the physical manifestation of the character, while voicing actors represent the spirit or subconscious of the same character--a style enabling full access for both Deaf and hearing audiences, while at the same time bringing fresh perspectives to this timeless masterpiece of American theater.
