American Statistical Association
The Rochester Chapter of the
American Statistical Association is an organization that attracts a diverse population
of members, including professionals from the academic, public, and private
industrial sectors. The goal of the chapter is to provide a service for the
community.
Chapter meetings, which include guest speakers, are open to both members and
nonmembers. Speakers include professionals from the business community, such as
engineering, and marketing. Statistical education is an important part of the
Chapter's activities. Speakers have given presentations on effective approaches
to teaching statistics.
