Text: David Poole, Linear Algebra - A Modern Introduction, 2nd ed.
Policies: Homework will be assigned each week. Homework is not collected; the material of the homework will be tested on quizzes. Quizzes will be given usually on Tuesdays. We will have two midterms, which will be 2 hour written exams. The date of the midterms: 09/29, 10/27. The final exam is a cumulative exam at the end of the quarter. NO make-up exams. You are allowed to use calculators throughout the course. Total Grade: Quizzes 20%, Midterms 50%, Final Exam 30%. Warning: If it was possible to learn the material in one day, we would not have quarters.
