Course Objectives and Policies

Course Objectives: At the completion of this course, the students will be able to:

    1. Develop reading, writing, analytical thinking, and problem solving skills related to image manipulation
    2. Develop an understanding of the legal and ethical issues in image manipulation.
    3. Apply production planning techniques used to produce digital images
    4. Practice intermediate methods and criteria in making image manipulation decisions.
    5. Practice image manipulation skills in a production-oriented environment
    6. Identify personal career opportunities and interests in digital image manipulation.


Course Prequisites: 0855-251, 0855-254

Grading Policy: Student evaluations will be based on the following criteria:

    1. Quality of Work: 85%
      Includes products produced, level of supervision required, organization and neatness of your work.

    2. Tests & Quizzes: 10%
      Includes products produced, level of supervision required, organization and neatness of your work.

    3. Performance: 5%
      Includes attitude, teamwork, homework, use of materials, clean-up, following directions, keeping a neat notebook, and coming to class with your notebook and the tools and materials necessary to do your work.

    4. Meeting Deadlines:
      One letter grade will be lost each week your project is overdue.
