Course Objectives and Policies

Course Objectives: At the completion of this course, the students will be able to:

    1. Develop reading, writing, analytical thinking, and problem solving skills related to Website design and development
    2. Understand the history, impact, and operation of the Internet and the World Wide Web.
    3. Understand and apply graphics-based design concepts and procedures to website development
    4. Understand and apply cross-platform and cross-browser usability and accessibility concepts and procedures to website design


Course Prequisites: 0855-341, 0855-342, 0855-351, 0855-352

Grading Policy: Student evaluations will be based on the following criteria:

    1. Quality of Work: 85%
      Includes products produced, level of supervision required, organization and neatness of your work.

    2. Tests & Quizzes: 10%
      Includes products produced, level of supervision required, organization and neatness of your work.

    3. Performance: 5%
      Includes attitude, teamwork, homework, use of materials, clean-up, following directions, keeping a neat notebook, and coming to class with your notebook and the tools and materials necessary to do your work.

    4. Meeting Deadlines:
      One letter grade will be lost each week your project is overdue.
