AMD's latest GPU: Radeon HD 6990. The Radeon HD 6990, codenamed "Antilles", contains two "Cayman" GPU's. AMD used the Northern Islands in the Caribbean Islands as codenames for their Radeon HD 6000 series graphics card GPU's. Previously, the Radeon HD 6970 was the highest end graphics card on the market, sporting a single "Cayman" GPU; the Radeon HD 6990 is essentially two Radeon HD 6970 GPU's on one graphics card. Although powerful, this isn't necessarily something that hasn't been seen before.
