Can Opener

Below is the picture of a can opener:

Coloring:
The color of this can opener is very similar to other vessels in the house and can bemixed easily with spoons or ladles of same color. The sharp circular edges can cause can injuriry if not handled with caution while picking it up from a mix of spoons, ladles and other stuff in the kitchen drawer which look of the same color.
Flexibility and Control:

• For a novice user it is difficult to determine how to get a good grip of the can withing the sharp circular edges of the can opener and may need sometime to figure out this control.
• The handles of the can opener are coated with rubber and provide a good grip while turning the knob to open the can
• The rubber material provides a good grip even with wet hands

Recognition Rather than recall
A small arrow indicating the direction of motion of the knob to open the can could have served the purpose of this usability heuristic. The users sometimes have to use a trial and error approach to get the knob moving in right direction.
Aesthetic and Minimalist Design:
Overall the can opener looks good and is easy to clean and maintain.
