I traveled to RIT from the small town of Gig Harbor, located about 2,867 miles away, about an hour south of Seattle Washington.
My hobbies would include drawing, sewing, writing, character design and development, as well as costume design and development. All of that coupled with an interest in technology makes a perfect career in game design as far as I'm concerned.
I'm in the Game Design and Development program and hope to minor in Japanese.
I might end up going for five years/get a master's. We'll see what happens.
With that education, working for SquareEnix is eventually my career goal, but,
realistically, I hope to work with either Gravity or Blizzard, though I would
settle for Microsoft. ;)
I'm toying with the idea of also going to do the JETs (Japanese Exchange Teacher)
program in which I would go to Japan for about two years after college to teach
English and get paid. :) That way, I could make sure I have a mastery of the
Japanese language and get a better feel for the culture so that I might
impress Square some day. Plus, it would be nice to have some established connections
if I were ever to live there. But, if I end up getting a job right out of college,
I'll probably not do it. We'll see what happens with that. :)
