I am a relativistic astrophysicist at RIT. My studies involve the interactions of gravity with matter, especially where gravity is strong enough that such significantly modify the local spacetime geometry and/or contribute to the local dynamics of the systems involved. My Ph.D. was on black holes and my post-doc was both in black holes and cosmology. Consistent with my training, my research has been both in the physics of black holes, and cosmology and quite often in problems on the interface of the two areas. I involve students at RIT in my research area.
