I work in the area of relativistic astrophysics. My studies involve interactions of gravity with matter, especially where gravity is strong enough to significantly modify the local spacetime geometry and/or contribute to the local dynamics of the systems involved. Consistent with this training, my current at RIT research has been both in the physics of black holes, and cosmology and quite often in problems on the interface of the two areas. I involve students at RIT in my research area. Currently I have been studying nonsingular black holes on a non-commutative background.
