Assignment 2 ("Midterm"): Movie of the Week!
Due: Sunday, October 12th , by Midnight (end of 5th week)
Create a promotional website for a movie of your choice. Place the site in its own directory within your 409 directory (e.g. www/409/midterm/ ), with its own index.html file. It should have a minimum of five pages (including the index.html file, but not including the annotated css page).
Divide the content up into appropriate "chunks" of information, and design the site in a way that enhances the presentation of the content. This means you need to think about how to break it up, how to label it, how to navigate through it, keeping in mind who your audience is. I will be evaluating the quality of your content, as well as your information organization and navigation.
Use CSS for text formatting and for positioning of elements. While you may use inline and header-based style sheets, I would also like you to create a linked style sheet that controls formatting for some aspect(s) of all of the pages in the assignment.
You should include style sheet components for both text formatting and positioning--use examples of both absolute and relative positioning in the site.
You should end up with a structure like this for your .html pages:
You can assume I'll be using a v4 or above browser to view your pages, but don't assume a specific browser or platform. I will expect a certain amount of commenting to take place in your html code. I want you to comment the large blocks of code, not every line (I want you to show me that you know what each part is doing - especially you Dreamweaver people...)
