MY RESEARCH

I started my Ph.D. at Rochester Institute of Technology (New York) at the department of computer science in 2016.

My research area covers the fields of computer security and privacy as well as artificial intelligence and machine learning. In my major project, I develop novel methods and design tools for data quality and data value evaluation for sensor originated data acquired from Android OS based smartphones. We consider data quality as a generic concept while data value is calculated in a perspective of the application context. Despite our focus on sensor originated data, our approach may be extended for others type of data as well.

The goal of this Ph.D. project is to build a proof-of-concept design, which will collect data from ordinary citizen’s owned smartphones and to provide the user with the data security and overall quality evaluation along with the data themselves.

In another project, I am investigating the novel colluded applications attack detection with recurrent neural networks and other machine learning techniques. Detecting these attacks on a mobile device may drastically enhance users’ privacy and an overall system security.
