Location

Our townhouse sits in a quiet, suburban/rural setting on a cul-de-sac about 12 miles from downtown Rochester.

There are five other townhouses and one single-family home on the street. It is ideally suited for road and trail cycling, running, hiking,

and other outdoor activities. Among the most exciting hiking, running, cycling and horse back riding possibility is the Genesee Valley Greenway Trail. , a 90-mile "rails to trails" project that runs from Lake Ontario in the north to Pennsylvania.(Part of the southern section is not yet completed.)

Numerous parks are close by, including Letchworth Park, which includes the famous waterfall and gorge called "The Grand

Canyon of the East " and the lovely Glen Iris Inn. Toronto is 3/12 hours away by car and the Buffalo/Niagara Falls area is 90 minutes. (Toronto usually

has a fringe theater festival July 5-15.)

The finger lakes are close by, the closest being Canandaigua (about a 40-minute drive.)

Summer cultural events include arts and crafts shows, street fairs, and performances by the Eastman School of Music and GEVA, the regional

professional theater. The University of Rochester, the Rochester Institute of Technology, Roberts Wesleyan, Nazareth College, St. John Fisher College,

and Monroe Community College all offer many cultural activities during the summer months.
