La Cirque de la Lune
This project was completed during Fall semester of my Sophomore year in my 3D Animation & Asset Production class. I worked along side three of my three of my classmates to create, UV map and skin all of the assets in this scene. After they were all created I prepared a Unity project that would showcase all of the assets in a cohesive scene. The assets were placed in accordance to the layout we had planned out at the start of the project and resulted in a very slick final product.Feel free to check out our project on Git-Hub.
Unity Autonomous Objects Project
This project was completed during Fall semester of my sophomore year in my Interactive Media Development class. I worked on this project solo and it was focused on creating a Unity project that had objects functioning in a realistic way. The goal was to think of a scene that could be represented in Unity and scripted to use advanced steering behaviors to have the objects react to each other in appropriate ways for the scene. I chose to do a scene that involved a sheep dog herding a flock of sheep from the pasture back to their pen. I chose to use behaviors of leader following, path following, object avoidance etc. My skills in Unity were acquired from this project and were then applied to my other projects such as the Cirque de la Lune which is also in this portfolio. PAC-MAN In the Dark
This project was completed during the beginning of my Spring semester of my freshman year in my Game Development & Algebraic Problem Solving II. I worked on this project with a team of three other people and this was the first major coding project that I had done. The objective of this project was to develop a game idea of our choosing and work as a team in different roles. I served as the leader of the team and created the menu system. The rest of the team was mechanics coding, game art and tool development. The game we chose to make was a recreation of PAC-MAN that used new mechanics such as view limitation and a hunger bar that depleted if pellets were not eaten fast enough. I took it upon myself to learn all of the information for creating menus and planned a time line for deliverables from the group as well. This project really brought me into the heart of my major and is the work I am most proud of. Check it out on Git-Hub.
Late Night Facilitator
This project was completed during the Spring semester of my junior year in Rich Media Web App Development II. I worked on this project solo and spent about ten weeks developing this from start to finish. The first section of this class involved front end web development for web applications. This second portion focused on back end development and taught us how to set up our own servers as well as hook them up to a Mongo Database and generated front end web pages. My Idea for this project combined the concept of collecting pokemon in a pokedex and a persons contact application on there phone. The purpose of the application was to allow people to add their friends to their 'dex' and grow their collection as well as be able to see their friends stats and info based on the information that each person had in their profile. This was a proof of concept for a mobile app idea i had of a very similar nature. Check it out on Git-Hub.
Augmented Reality Work Instructions
This goal of this project is to create an application that workers on the production floor can use to make their workflow more efficient. The app displays the necessary steps to complete a task as well as the relevant resources to help you if you need a reference or assistance. In browser the app has a white background behind the rendered content. In our android app the application uses the camera to recognize QR codes and then display the content as AR relevant to the orientation of the QR Code. This app also required the creation of an authoring tool to allow a user to create the files that comprise all of the information for a particular job, its steps, and its resources. I worked on the front end of development, implementing and testing new features as well as updating the sites layout and styling.
