Hi. Welcome to my site!
I created this website for a RIT Fundamentals of Web-based Multimedia class assignment as part of my degree. Two years ago, I earned a M.S. in Applied and Experimental Engineering Psychology at RIT. Currently, I am a research scientist in the Multidisciplinary Vision Research Laboratory in the College of Imaging Science and an adjunct professor in the Department of Psychology at RIT.
Over the past 25 years, I have worked as a dancer, choreographer, dance teacher, certified Pilates, yoga and exercise instructor, and figure model. I graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts with honors and distinction in Dance from the Ohio State University. I have danced with Victoria Uris, Present Tense Dance Company, Hallmark Danceworks, Motoniks, and Park Avenue Dance Company as well as choreographing and performing my own work.
I retired from dancing and teaching in October 2008. Occasionally, I will dance in a community event like the 10th Anniversary World AIDS Day Benefit Concert (December, 2010). I continue to choreograph, most recently for the YOHP's 2011 summer musical production of The Mystery of Edwin Drood.
If and when I completely retire, I may use this site purely as a chronicle of my history as a dancer so that in years to come, I might remember, and my family can know what "mom" or "grandma" did when she was younger.
